Requirement for Membership

A clearly defined interest in any phase of motion picture or television imaging is the principal requirement for membership in the SMPTE.


If elected to membership, I agree to be governed by the Society's Constitution and Bylaws as long as I am a member. US$20.00 of dues is allocated for a subscription to the SMPTE Journal and is non-deductible therefrom.

Please note that this form will send back to SMPTE Headquarters. Your payment should be sent to SMPTE Headquarters.

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), is the leading technical society for the motion imaging industry.
SMPTE members are spread throughout 85 countries worldwide. As well, over 250 Sustaining (Corporate) Members belong to SMPTE, allowing networking and contacts to occur on a larger scale. SMPTE was founded in 1916 to advance theory and development in the motion imaging field.
