Description : The meeting was held at the Conference Hall of Shun Hing Centre and sponsored by Shun Hing Technology Co., Ltd. Section Chair Kwok-luen Lam introduced guest speaker, Mr. Hideki Ohtaka, from Matsu*bleep*a Electric Industrial Co. Ltd in Japan. Hideki Ohtaka presented information about DCT based compression process; DVCPRO compression process; features of DVCPRO compression and finally make a comparison between DVCPRO and MPEG2. He gave an excellent and informative presentation. Members are very interested on formatting of compressed data on compression macro block, compression of DVCPRO50 and its ongoing developments. Finally section chair Kwok-luen Lam presented a certificate to Mr. Hideki Ohtaka and a thank-you letter to Mr. Philip Wu of Shun Hing Technology Co., Ltd.
